Volleyball Game Preview: Legacy Academy Silverbacks vs. Crownpoint Eagles

The Legacy Academy Silverbacks will venture away from home to square off against the Crownpoint Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, Legacy Academy got the win against Mesilla Valley Christian School by a conclusive 3-0.

Legacy Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mesilla Valley Christian School between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Crownpoint came up short against Tohatchi on Thursday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 20-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Legacy Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Crownpoint, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Everything went Legacy Academy's way against Crownpoint in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Legacy Academy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silverbacks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
