Baseball Game Preview: JW North Huskies vs. Poly Bears

JW North is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Poly a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The JW North Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Poly Bears at 10:00 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

JW North came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Moreno Valley by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Huskies have suffered since April 10th.

Isaiah Sanchez was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. Andrew Zepeda was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Poly didn't have quite enough to beat Paloma Valley on Thursday and fell 7-6.

Poly's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for JW North, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18-1.

JW North took their win against Poly in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
