Recap: Colonial Beach vs. West Point
Colonial Beach won the last time they faced West Point, and things went their way on Friday, too. Colonial Beach took their contest against West Point by a conclusive 30-6 score. Colonial Beach were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Colonial Beach offense stepped up its game and put 18 points on the board in the second quarter. West Point countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 18-6 going into the half. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Colonial Beach in the second half and held West Point to 0 points.
Colonial Beach will stay at home next week against Rappahannock at 7:00 AM. After both of those teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune. As for West Point, they will face off against Middlesex. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
