Softball Recap: Vista del Lago Comes Up Short

Vista del Lago lost against Woodcreek back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles came up short against the Timberwolves, falling 8-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riley Dossey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Dossey, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Woodcreek, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Vista del Lago will square off against rival Ponderosa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Woodcreek is set to take on their familiar foe Inderkum at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Timberwolves 2.7, the Tigers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
