Volleyball Recap: Halle Reed Key Part of Team Effort in Hornets Win

Roswell won the last time they faced Lanier and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Longhorns.

The win didn't come easy: Lanier scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 17-25, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roswell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Halle Reed, who had nine digs and four aces. Those nine digs gave Reed a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Natalie Chandler, who had four digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Roswell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Roswell's victory bumped their record up to 8-20. As for Lanier, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roswell will square off against Woodstock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lanier, they will take on Cherokee Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
