Volleyball Recap: High Point Christian Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Aubrey Hill and Maraylan Metcalf

It was a proper cat-fight when High Point Christian Academy challenged Asheville Christian Academy on Saturday. The Cougars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, High Point Christian Academy had strong showings from Maraylan Metcalf, who had nine digs and two assists, and Aubrey Hill, who had five digs.

Asheville Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Caroline Simpson, who had 15 assists and five digs. Simpson is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

High Point Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Asheville Christian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

High Point Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Charlotte Latin on the 9th. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Caldwell Academy on the 9th.
