Football Game Preview: Cameron Dragons vs. Monroe Central Seminoles

The Cameron Dragons will venture away from home to square off against the Monroe Central Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cameron will be strutting in after a win while Monroe Central will be coming in after a loss.

Cameron is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Valley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 50-36. The Dragons pushed the score to 50-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lumberjacks cut but never quite recovered from.

Cameron's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Marshall Holland led the charge by rushing for 137 yards on only 12 carries. Talen Brown also helped with two TDs in total.

Meanwhile, while it was Monroe Central who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Toronto who put up more. The matchup between the Seminoles and the Red Knights didn't end well, with the Seminoles falling 35-21. The Seminoles were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Monroe Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Cameron, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
