Softball Recap: Red Springs Comes Up Short

Red Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes, falling 12-2. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 16-1 to the Golden Tornadoes when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Red Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Fairmont, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

While Red Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
