Volleyball Recap: Johnson City Takes a Loss

Johnson City lost against Wimberley back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Texans. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21.

Leading Wimberley to victory were Carson Peoples and Ashton Shipman. Peoples had four digs and two aces, while Shipman had five digs and one assist. Peoples has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Johnson City now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wimberley, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Johnson City will challenge Montwood at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Wimberley, they will be playing at home against Canton at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
