Soccer Game Preview: Sunnyside vs. Marana

Sunnyside hasn't had much luck against Marana recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Sunnyside Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marana Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Sunnyside is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Friday. They lost 6-1 to Tucson High Magnet School.

Meanwhile, Marana kept a clean sheet against Rincon/University on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Rangers. The result kept the Tigers happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 18, 2024.

Maya Borboa and Paloma Borboa scored both of Marana's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Marana has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Sunnyside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
