There's no place like home for Kent Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the North Caroline Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-3 win. Considering the Buccaneers have won eight contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Abby Mahaffey, who went 2-for-4 with two triples and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

The victory got Kent Island back to even at 9-9. As for North Caroline, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kent Island will venture away from home to take on Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seahawks have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season. As for North Caroline, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wicomico at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
