Redmond is 5-0 against Sammamish since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Redmond Mustangs will host the Sammamish RedHawks at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Redmond's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Redmond will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating North Creek, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Redmond enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over North Creek on Wednesday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Jaguars are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sammamish, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They really took it to Renton for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-27 victory. With the RedHawks ahead 38-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Redmond better keep an eye on Sophia Eastman. She was instrumental in Sammamish's win, going 11 for 19 en route to 26 points and three steals. That's the most points Eastman has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cerise Boyer, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Redmond pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Sammamish, they moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Redmond strolled past Sammamish in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 61-43. Does Redmond have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sammamish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
