West Boca Raton won the last time they faced Westminster Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The West Boca Raton Bulls put the hurt on the Westminster Academy Lions with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Bulls have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Chase Dodson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, West Boca Raton let Tyler Wilkins and Max McDougall run wild. Wilkins went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and one double, while McDougall went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave Wilkins a new career-high in RBI. Luciano Grasso also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

West Boca Raton lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for West Boca Raton and bumps their season record up to 5-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Looking ahead, West Boca Raton will challenge St. John Paul II Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster Academy, they will square off against South Plantation at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
