Softball Game Preview: North Lamar Panthers vs. Community Braves

The North Lamar Panthers will face off against the Community Braves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lamar will be strutting in after a victory while Community will be coming in after a loss.

North Lamar made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Malakoff, but they still couldn't quite topple them. North Lamar's pitchers stepped up to hand Malakoff a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Community fell victim to Sulphur Springs and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.

The win made it two in a row for North Lamar and bumps their season record up to 5-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2-1.
