Basketball Recap: Broken Bow Falls Short of Glenpool in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Broken Bow can now relate to. They fell just short of the Glenpool Warriors by a score of 58-56 on Friday. The Savages' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Leading Glenpool to victory were Aaliyah Shawnee and Yaya Gibson. Shawnee shot 50% from the field to rack up 24 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Gibson went 7-for-15 on her way to 19 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Gibson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Camdyn Hull was another key player, putting up seven points.

Broken Bow's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Glenpool, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Broken Bow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenpool, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-49 defeat against Bethany on the 8th.
