Colorado Springs Christian dropped their record down to 8-11 on Saturday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They lost 23-1 to the La Junta Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since April 17th.

Colorado Springs Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Garl, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for La Junta, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-15. 23 seems to be a good number for they as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

On La Junta's side, Treyce Lovato made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lovato has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April.

In other batting news, Tony Rodriguez was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Keo Fisher was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Colorado Springs Christian nor La Junta have any future games scheduled.
