Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lincoln-Way West entered their tilt with Stagg on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Chargers. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.

Lincoln-Way West easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12.

Lily Goyer paced Lincoln-Way West's offense, picking up nine kills. Goyer got some help from Claire Murphy and her 15 assists. Ellie Laack and Kaylea Armstrong kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Lincoln-Way West's record is now 15-9. As for Stagg, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-10.

Lincoln-Way West has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Oswego East on the 1st. As for Stagg, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lincoln-Way East at 5:45 p.m. The last three games the Griffins have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
