High school basketball: 2022 Boys McDonald's All American Game rosters announced

Eight of nine seniors on the MaxPreps National Player of the Year Watch List made 24-man squad.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the boys McDonald's All America Game is scheduled to be played March 29 in Chicago. On Tuesday, the 24-player roster was announced.

Eight of the nine seniors on the MaxPreps National Player of the Year Watch List made the roster, including top 10 prospects Chris Livingston, Nick Smith, Jarace Walker, Cason Wallace, Kel'el Ware and Dariq Whitehead.

More notes of interest:

• All but one of the McDonald's All Americans have either signed or committed to colleges, with Anthony Black being the only undecided player in the game this season.



• IMG Academy has the most selections with three, while Link Academy, Montverde Academy, North Little Rock, Prolific Prep, Sierra Canyon and Sunrise Christian Academy each had two selections.

• Duke and Kansas are tied for the most selections with three each, while Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas and UCLA each have two representatives apiece.

• Florida (6), California (4) and Texas (3) were the states with the most selections, while Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri each received two selections apiece.

• Unlike previous years, the teams have yet to be designated an East or West designation.

• By position, 10 of the 24 selections were either guards or wings/forwards with four centers.

The game will be broadcast live at 9 p.m. (ET) March 29 on ESPN, following the girls game at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
