Volleyball Game Preview: Central Bobcats vs. McClintock Chargers

Central is 0-6 against McClintock since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Bobcats will take on the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Carl Hayden Community, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Falcons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since April 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, McClintock waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Stampede 3-0. The Chargers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-16.

McClintock pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Central came up short against McClintock in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
