Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherokee). They never let the Hayesville Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Thursday. Cherokee haven't had any issues with Hayesville recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Cherokee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Hayesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Cherokee will be playing at home against Swain County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Swain County will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Cherokee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hayesville, they are taking a road trip to take on Highlands at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
