Volleyball Recap: Verona Comes Up Short

Verona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-15.

Verona's loss dropped their record down to 3-12-2. As for New Heights Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-9-5.

Coming up, Verona will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson Independent Day at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McAuley Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
