Softball Recap: Monroe Central's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

Monroe Central and Crooksville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Monroe Central had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Ceramics by a score of 3-1. The Seminoles were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Ceramics' pitcher proved too tough.

Monroe Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brylee McFredrick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Monroe Central moved to 13-11 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Crooksville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

As of now, neither Monroe Central nor the Ceramics have any future games scheduled.
