Softball Recap: San Jacinto Takes a Loss

San Jacinto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Indio Rajahs. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kamorah Johnson and Keyera Cameron stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base, while Cameron went 1-for-4 with one home run and two stolen bases. Cameron has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

San Jacinto's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Indio, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

San Jacinto will square off against Hemet at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. San Jacinto is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Indio, they will take on Scappoose at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
