Softball Game Preview: Kettle Moraine Lasers vs. Muskego Warriors

The Kettle Moraine Lasers will square off against the Muskego Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kettle Moraine barely beat Burlington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lasers put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 9-2 win on Saturday. The Lasers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Briella Hack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Casey Navarro was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sarah Marcheske, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Muskego, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Oconomowoc on Monday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Muskego's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Becker, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Muskego pushed their record up to 2-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 8.2 runs this season. As for Kettle Moraine, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
