Baseball Recap: Webster Thomas Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Webster Thomas hadn't done well against Penfield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Titans walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

Jacob Dicicco looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, AJ LaLoggia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Carley, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Webster Thomas pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Penfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Webster Thomas will look to defend their home field on Monday against Brighton at 5:00 p.m. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Penfield, they will head out to face off against Victor at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
