Basketball Recap: Anderson County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oneida last Monday, Anderson County came back down to earth. The Anderson County Mavericks fell to the Clinton Dragons 60-54. The Mavericks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 71-61.

Anderson County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 16-9. As for Clinton, they pushed their record up to 16-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Anderson County will venture away from home to square off against Cumberland Gap at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clinton, they will host Powell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
