Soccer Game Preview: Pacific Ridge vs. Cathedral Catholic

The Pacific Ridge Firebirds and the Cathedral Catholic Dons will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pacific Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while Cathedral Catholic will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Pacific Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over San Marcos, taking the game 3-1. That looming 3-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Firebirds yet this season.

Nick Axelson and Dylan Kyle scored all three of Pacific Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Cathedral Catholic fell victim to Westview and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by just one goal.

Pacific Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-2. As for Cathedral Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
