Basketball Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Avery Herschberger and Annabelle Haskins

Arthur-Okaw Christian saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell 45-35 to Mount Pisgah Christian Academy.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Annabelle Haskins, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Avery Herschberger, who put up 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Herschberger a new career-high in blocks (two).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Pisgah Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylynn Walls, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Walls is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Brooklyn Foster was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's loss dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Mount Pisgah Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.
