Donahue Catholic had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Brandon Academy Scorpions by a score of 52-43 on Wednesday. The Shamrocks are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

Donahue Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Kadlec, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corban Copeland, who posted 18 points.

Brandon Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Harris, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. Harris is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Rashad Carriera was another key player, putting up five points along with six boards and six blocks.

Donahue Catholic's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. As for Brandon Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.
