Baseball Recap: Addison's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After flying high against Campbell-Savona on Friday, Addison came back down to earth. The Knights took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Avoca Central Tigers on Monday. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Andrew Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Miller, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Addison fell to 5-1. As for Avoca Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Addison will face off against Jasper-Troupsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.29 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Avoca Central, they will be playing at home against Hammondsport at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
