Baseball Game Preview: Griswold Wolverines vs. Killingly Redmen

The Griswold Wolverines are taking a road trip to take on the Killingly Redmen at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Griswold came up short against New London and fell 7-3. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Killingly has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.56 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-2 to Stonington. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Redmen have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Killingly's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Griswold, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Griswold was able to grind out a solid victory over Killingly in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
