Basketball Recap: Genoa Central Comes Up Short

Genoa Central lost against Fouke back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Genoa Central Dragons took a blow against the Fouke Panthers, falling 71-21. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Panthers are ranked 43rd).

Genoa Central has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Fouke, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 24-5.

Coming up, Genoa Central will be playing at home against Centerpoint at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerpoint will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Genoa Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fouke, they will square off against Smackover at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fouke's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
