South Fork won the last time they faced Round Valley and things went their way on Monday too. The Cubs were the clear victors by a 42-22 margin over the Mustangs. Given the Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Mustangs are ranked 90th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for South Fork and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for Round Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
