Volleyball Game Preview: West Park Panthers vs. Cordova Lancers

The West Park Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cordova Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

It was a proper cat-fight when West Park duked it out with Kennedy on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars.

West Park was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Cordova didn't have quite enough to beat Antelope on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cordova took Antelope into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for West Park, their victory bumped their record up to 19-9.

Everything went West Park's way against Cordova in their previous meeting on April 1st, as West Park made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
