Basketball Recap: Choctaw Central Wins Going Away Against Tishomingo County

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Choctaw Central walked away with it. They blew past the Tishomingo County Braves 73-53 on Tuesday. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Braves are ranked 113th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Choctaw Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Tishomingo County, their loss dropped their record down to 21-11.

As of now, neither Choctaw Central nor Tishomingo County have any future games scheduled.
