Preview: Windham RVT Mighty Tigers vs. Windham Whippets
The Windham RVT Mighty Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Windham Whippets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Windham RVT waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 54-48 victory over Grasso Tech.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windham RVT to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Dunnack, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Dunnack has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fischer Jones, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Windham strolled past Ledyard with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 68-54.
Windham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tahj Jones, who scored ten points along with nine assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Jones posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Malcolm Hunter, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Windham RVT has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Windham, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Windham RVT was dealt a bruising 95-60 loss at the hands of Windham when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Windham RVT, Travis Mangual jr.
