Basketball Game Preview: Dyer County Choctaws vs. Lake County Falcons

The Dyer County Choctaws will take on the Lake County Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dyer County is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Dyer County came up short against Westview and fell 64-53. While losing is never fun, the Choctaws can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Chargers are ranked 88th).

Meanwhile, 2025 welcomed Lake County with a 75-54 loss courtesy of Obion County on Friday. The Falcons have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Dyer County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lake County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Things could have been worse for Dyer County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 73-54 loss to Lake County when the teams last played back in November of 2024.
