Baseball Recap: Sehome Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sehome's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Mount Vernon Bulldogs on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Sehome saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Neff, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Neff has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Sehome's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mount Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Sehome is taking a road trip to face off against Burlington-Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.1 runs per game this season, so the Mariners' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mount Vernon, they will take on Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
