Basketball Recap: 20 Straight Home Victories for Manchester

Manchester had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Bowdon Red Devils by a score of 68-59. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Red Devils are ranked 387th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jaedyn Terry, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trey Jones, who posted 14 points and seven boards.

Manchester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Bowdon had strong showings from Kaiden Prothro, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 22 rebounds, and Timothy Johnson, who scored eight points along with seven boards and three blocks. Prothro is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 13 every time he's taken the court this season. Jonah Wilson was another key player, putting up four points.

Manchester's win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Bowdon, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
