Football Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

Burbank extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They took a blow against the Fairfield Falcons, falling 53-20. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 48-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Fairfield had a senior duo take command as Imari Carter rushed for 226 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry and Tristen Smith threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. With that strong performance, Carter is now averaging an impressive 102.5 rushing yards per game.

Coming up, Burbank will face off against McClatchy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield, they will challenge Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
