Softball Recap: Cottage Grove Has No Trouble Against Rogue River

While Cottage Grove put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Rogue River. The Lions were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Chieftains. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Cottage Grove pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rogue River, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Rogue River has already played their next contest (against Molalla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cottage Grove will be paying especially close attention to the Chieftains' game: after the Chieftains face off against the Indians, they'll take on Cottage Grove again at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
