Basketball Recap: Drew Charter vs. Coretta Scott King YWLA Soaring Eagle
There's no place like home for Drew Charter, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 49-41 win over Coretta Scott King YWLA on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Drew Charter also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Shannilea Schliffer was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Anaysa Glover, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Drew Charter's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Coretta Scott King YWLA, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing KIPP Atlanta Collegiate the next time they take the court. Coretta Scott King YWLA will host KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Drew Charter will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
