Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Leopards vs. Newton Falls Tigers

Having just played yesterday, the Liberty Leopards will get right back to it and host the Newton Falls Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Liberty and three for Newton Falls.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-8, which was the final score in Liberty's tilt against Crestview on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 754th, while the Rebels are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Newton Falls lost to LaBrae at home by a 29-10 margin on Monday. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Newton Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
