On Thursday, Liberty faced Campo Verde in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Liberty Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Campo Verde Coyotes. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.
