Football Recap: St. Bernard's Central Catholic Comes Up Short

If St. Bernard's Central Catholic was riding high fresh off their 44-12 takedown of Gardner last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bernardians fell 33-20 to the Blackstone-Millville Chargers on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Bernardians' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Blackstone-Millville was led to victory by Nathan Kaczor and Karson Cournoyer. Kaczor rushed for 202 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries, while Cournoyer rushed for 127 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. Kaczor's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

St. Bernard's Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Blackstone-Millville, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, St. Bernard's Central Catholic will square off against Montachusett RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will take on Leicester at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
