Volleyball Recap: Northview Wildcats vs. Ross Little Giants        
        
		
             Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Ross Little Giants by a score of  3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the  3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in August.
 In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Northview sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-6, 17-25, 25-18, 21-25,  15-9.
 Northview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Claire Swartz, who  had eight  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Swartz has posted  in her last seven  games.
 Even though they lost, Northview  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ross only served nine.
 Leading Ross to victory were  Mia Durwald and  Brook Baacke.  Durwald  had nine  digs and two  aces, while  Baacke  had 15  digs. Baacke is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 11 or more in the last five games she's  played.
 Northview's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Ross, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 16 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record  this season.
 Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ross, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-1  victory against Clay on the 23rd.
