Volleyball Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Gunnison Cowboys
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Fork can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Gunnison Cowboys on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Miners have suffered since October 8th.
Aubrey Welfelt had an outrageously good game for Gunnison as she had 17 digs, nine kills, and two aces. Ruthie Lock was another key player, getting eight digs.
North Fork now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Gunnison, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
North Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gunnison, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against The Vanguard School on the 9th.
