Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Drops Season-High Score on Bethel Assembly Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victory Christian). They managed a 52-46 win over the Bethel Assembly Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-44 two weeks ago.

Despite the loss, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Olivia Bazemore posted 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bazemore has scored all season. Kaydee Beachboard was another key player, putting up ten points.

Victory Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Suffolk Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Bethel Assembly Christian Academy will host Suffolk Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Victory Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
