Providence-St. Mel's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Roache, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Roache scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Norris, who scored 13 points.
Providence-St. Mel has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for De La Salle, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Providence-St. Mel will head out on the road to face off against Aurora Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
