Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Springboro walked away with it. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won nine matchups in a row.

Colten Muhlenkamp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Adam Smith, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Fortkamp, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Springboro pushed their record up to 27-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Perrysburg, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-9.

Springboro has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Olentangy on the 15th. Perrysburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
